Travel Wiki

At the end of the semester you have 3 culminating experiences that make up your "final exam": Your movie presentation, this travel wiki and your final journal/oral report. The wiki assignment, which is a written assignment that you will receive draft feedback on midway through the semester, will allow you complete control of the presentation of 1 element of your final exam.

Goal: Create a quick and simple guide for the culturally sensitive traveler.
1) Choose a location that you have never visited but that you would like to visit.
2) Think about what you've learned this semester then decide what a culturally sensitive traveler needs to know to have a good experience visiting the location.

- How to pack & plan: exchange rates, costs of travel, what to bring, etc...
- How to avoid offending: important laws, gestures, appropriate mannerisms, phrases, appropriate dress
- Must see and do: Places to stay, how to travel at the destination, best foods to try, where the locals hang out, ways to support the local economy while you're there...etc..
- At least 3 sources of additional information at the bottom of the wikipage (linked to the sites)
